Padamati Union Rahimuddin High School (H.S.) is a prestigious institution located at Baikur Gour Gram, a small village in the district of Jalpaiguri. The school was established in 1949 and gained recognition in 1950. The school campus has been built on land donated by Rahimuddin Ahmed with a noble vision of imparting quality education to the children in the newly independent nation despite the border area chaos.

The school is easily accessible due to its unique location in the market area of Helapakri, Mayanaguri block, District Jalapaiguri, West Bengal. Being close to the Bangladesh border the school is well connected to the Asian Highway. River Teesta flows by in the vicinity. From the very beginning of the school, the objective to impart man-making education equally to both boys and girls despite several challenges has remained unaltered. Values that bring a permanent positive impact are instilled into the young hearts by dedicated teachers who uphold the ideals of love, care, responsibility, and tolerance.

P.U.R High School (H.S)  is a Bengali Medium School affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and WBCHSE. The school provides education from class V to XII. The humanities stream is offered in the higher secondary section. [1]
