The Serie B is a Mexican association football league. Fifteen teams compete in one group. Since the 2023–24 season, it is one tournament per season. The top team advances directly to the semifinals & the next six teams in the standings at end of the regular season will play a playoff to advance to the Liguilla to play for promotion to Liga Premier – Serie A, and the stadium must meet the requirements to promote as well. In the 2020–21 season, Serie B was on hiatus due to COVID-19, but Serie B was reactivated for the 2021–22 season.

Offseason Changes[edit]
- On May 11, 2024 Aguacateros CDU was promoted to Serie A.[8]
- On May 25 and May 26, 2024 Tigres de Alica and Yautepec were promoted to Serie B from Liga TDP.[9][10]
