Rishivansh
The Rishivansh is a branch of Kshatriyas (Rajputs). They are believed to be descendants of a Kshatriya father and a Brahmin mother.[citation needed] When a Rajput from the Suryavanshi, Chandravanshi, or Agnivanshi clan married a Brahmin woman, their offspring were known as Rishivanshi Kshatriyas.[citation needed] Additionally, a Kshatriya who has achieved a high level of knowledge in the Vedas, comparable to a Rishi (Brahmin), is also called a Rishivanshi Kshatriya.
