Jhantla (جھانٹلہ) is a village located in Kharian Tehsil of Gujrat District, Punjab, Pakistan. It is situated approximately 150 kilometers from Lahore and 17 kilometers from Kharian. The village features lush green landscapes and is primarily inhabited by members of the Sayyid and Awan tribes.
A small green hill southeast of Jhantla serves as the village's burial site.
Jhantla is known for its agricultural diversity, particularly the cultivation of wheat. Near the hill is a primary school that serves the village's children. For secondary education, students travel to a neighboring village.
Each year, on June 7th, Jhantla hosts the summer mela, a local festival during which residents visit three significant shrines, including one with a grave nearly 9 yards long. The village has a population of approximately 2,000 inhabitants and covers an area of about 3 square kilometers.
Jhantla is surrounded by neighboring villages including Budho Chak, Senthal, Malka, Malagar, Manglia, Golra Hashim, Kotla Haji Shah, Chak Bakhtawar, and Bhagwal, maintaining close connections with these communities.
Jhantla can be accessed via the Guliana/Manglia or Kharian road, providing straightforward routes into the village.
